Started in 2012, the Swami Dayananda Farms cultivates and promotes native rice consumption. Did you know that even 70 years back, over 1 lakh heritage rice varieties were sown and consumed across regions in India.

At the Swami Dayananda Farms, over 276 rice varieties are currently being cultivated. Over 10 acres of farm land is dedicated to seed regeneration. Every ingredient in our heritage rice cultivation is carefully chosen and is entirely organic, sourced from traceable heirloom (non-hybrid) varieties passed down through generations. This commitment honours our ancestors and deepens our connection to the land and its traditions. Our work embodies themes of heritage, culture and identity, infusing every grain with stories of the past while nurturing a sustainable future.

Every aspect of our cultivation is rooted in organic principles, reflecting our dedication to sustainability and ecological responsibility. We use only organic components, including natural fertilizers. By adhering to these organic standards, we ensure our grains are free from harmful chemicals, promoting consumer health and at the same time, honouring sustainable agricultural traditions.

At our retail store, Spirit of the Earth, the fast moving varieties include Laicha brown rice, Kichili Champa brown rice and Rakthashali red rice. Over time, the product range has expanded to include rice based breakfast staples (porridge mixes, muesli) tea time snacks with a contemporary twist, pastas, ready mixes, idli and dosa batter.
